Our Biothane + Canvas Leash combines the ruggedness of both our Beta Biothane and our canvas! The body of the leash is made from our waterproof and stink resistant beta biothane in your choice of color while the handle is made from our incredibly durable polyester webbing and canvas.
You get to choose every aspect of this leash! Due to the extremely customized nature of this leash, I do not offer returns or exchanges of any kind. All sales are final.
About the Canvas:
The canvas used is an Eco Canvas that is a heavyweight 100% polyester canvas made with 45% recycled content.
Be sure to look through the photos above to build your perfect leash. Don't forget to visit our canvas collar section to choose your perfect canvas print: https://www.4blackpaws.com/collections/canvas-dog-collars
This amazing webbing is soft and has the appearance of leather but is more durable, cleanable, stronger and easier to maintain than leather. It's also:
-stronger than nylon and leather
-cleanable with soap and water
Choose from your choice of width (1” and super heavy weight is recommended only for large breed dogs):
Choose from your choice of snap hook color and style:
-Stainless Steel Bolt Snap
-Stainless Steel Trigger Snap
-Solid Brass Bolt Snap
-Solid Brass Trigger Snap
Please scroll through the pictures to see all available collar color choices (note: if a color does not show up in the drop down list, it is likely sold out).
All hardware is either solid brass or stainless steel (buckle, o-ring and d-ring). The Chicago screws used to rivet the collar together are either solid brass (gold) or nickel plated brass (silver).
Standard vs. Super Heavy:
The choice between purchasing the standard thickness leash and the super heavy thickness leash is personal preference. We DO NOT recommend the super heavy weight material for small dogs due to the additional bulk. Both thicknesses have a break strength of 750-1,000 pounds. The standard thickness material is approximately 0.1" thick and the super heavy thickness material is approximately 0.15" thick.
Engraved Name Plate:
Our Biothane + Canvas Leads are available to have a name plate added. Name plates are laser engraved on either a solid brass or stainless steel name plate (based on the hardware color chosen during checkout) and comes attached to the biothane side of the leash with 2 rivets.
Engraved name plates are available at an additional cost and attach to your new leash on the front side just below the handle using the same strong rivets we use to make the collars and leads.
Your name plate will come in the same color hardware that you choose and will come attached to your leash.
You can choose up to 3 lines of text. Please note, the more text you choose, the smaller the lettering will be. We recommend no more than about 15-18 characters per line.
• Each leash is handmade from the very beginning to end; you may notice a slight variation in length from one leash to the next
• Hand wash your leash with soap & water. If your leash has been exposed to an especially stinky substance, you may wipe down with a diluted 10% bleach solution (1 part to 9 parts water) - DO NOT EXPOSE CANVAS TO BLEACH or wipe down with vinegar to help neutralize odors.
It is very important to note that our leads are not designed to be used as tear for a "tie out." Damage caused by using any of our collars or leads to tether a dog are non repairable. We also do not recommend tethering a dog due to the excessive risk of injury, damage and loss. If you are planning to tie your dog to a tie out or an outdoor line, please be sure to purchase items from a manufacturer that designs products specifically for this purpose.
