Layered Biothane Collar with Side Release Buckle (1" with 1.5" layer)

This double layer biothane collar is made from a 

1" standard weight biothane collar (with 1.5" biothane layered underneath) and is made with a traditional "belt buckle" style of buckle. These collars are bulkier and heavier than a traditional biothane collar and may not be suitable for smaller dogs.

Every collar in this line is hand crafted from Biothane coated webbing that is durable and easy to clean. It even stays flexible in cold weather! This amazing webbing is soft and has the appearance of leather but is more durable, cleanable, stronger and easier to maintain than leather. It's also:

-water repellant

-stink-resistant **NOT resistant to skunk smell.

-antbacterial

-stronger than nylon and leather

-cleanable with soap and water

Ordering Instructions: 

It is very important to carefully measure your pups neck to get an accurate collar fit as these collars are NOT adjustable. This collar is made with an aluminum or plastic side release buckle that can be engraved with your contact information.

IMPORTANT: Please read the following information regarding sizing:

This specific collar is NOT adjustable and is sized according to the ACTUAL measured length of the collar (collar + buckle). For example, when you order a 16″ collar, the collar will measure 16″ when laid flat from end to end ( measurement is from the very end of the female side of the buckle to just past the end of the biothane where the outer edge of the male side of the buckle ends - does not include the part of the male buckle that snaps in the other end but does include the small portion of length before that piece). Biothane will NOT stretch over time.

Sizing example: Our dog, Thea, has a 12.5" neck (where her collar naturally sits) and her exact collar measurement is 14". 

Want a looser fitting collar? Order your collar 1″-2”LARGER than your dog’s actual neck size (for example, if your dog's neck measures 18", put 19" in the actual collar size box).

Need to measure your pups neck?

Gently use a piece of string or other soft material like a phone charger cord. Hold the end of the string/cable between your finger and thumb and gently wrap the other side around your dog's neck (the base of the neck above the shoulders) where the collar will sit. The tape should be snug but not too tight. If your dog has very thick fur be sure to get the tape closer to the skin. Let go of the string/cord and mark the spot in the middle of the string/cord with your finger that marked your pup's neck size. From there, use a tape measure to get the measurement from your string/cord measurement. After you get your dog's exact measurement, you can then loosen the cord about 0.5" or 1" to see how the collar would fit with a bit of length added for comfort.

**If you are having trouble finding your pup's neck size, please don't hesitate to contact me for help or send pictures of your pups current collar next to a ruler/tape measure for me to help you determine the best size.
