Return and Exchange Policy
All customers are encouraged, before placing an order, to familiarize themselves with all Four Black Paws policies. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
We do our best to make sure all items are photographed as accurately as possible but please understand that there may be color variations from device to device, screen to screen, lighting, etc. Please reach out and contact us before purchasing if you have any questions regarding colors for collars or apparel.
For all returns/exchanges, you must contact us within 7 days of receipt of products; if a return/exchange is approved, items must be postmarked within 14 days of receipt of products. Items postmarked after 14 days of receipt of product are no longer eligible for return/exchange. Sale and ready-to-ship items are not eligible for a return or exchange and are considered “final sale.”
Made To Order Items:
All collars, accessories and leads are individually made to order by hand and are not mass produced; all orders are made to the size, color, width, hardware specifications, etc. that you provide at the time of check-out. Due to the significant amount of personalization available on each of our products, along with the time-intensive nature of creating made-to-order items, we are unable to issue full refunds on any of our products. It is the buyer’s responsibility to double check all order specifications including product type, size, width, hardware option, etc. before placing the final order.
If a product is eligible for a return/exchange, product must be in unused/unworn condition and still have hang tags attached. We offer refunds/exchanges via store credit for non custom designs; the buyer is responsible to pay for shipping costs back to us.
We do not allow returns/exchanges on any custom items. This includes, but is not limited to: Biothane + canvas products, Fi compatible collars, specially designed &/or purchased material, custom made size, engraved buckles and name plates, change in buckle selection (martingale, wide width collar), etc.
If a product is able to be returned, a 20% restocking fee applies; original shipping cost will not be refunded. Buyer is responsible for the cost to return item to us; item must be in new and unused condition.
We do not accept returns/exchanges on ANY collars, leads or accessories that have engraved buckles or name plates due to the cost of time and materials to produce these custom add-ons. All sales are final.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to double check all spelling, phone numbers, etc before placing the order.
All apparel is inspected twice before it is shipped to you. Please ensure that you inspect apparel promptly upon receiving. If there are any issues with the apparel, please contact me within 5 days of package arrival (the date marked as delivered via the USPS/UPS tracking). All hang tags must be attached in the event there is damage reported.
Apparel that has been damaged in the wash, while wearing, etc. cannot be returned or exchanged for new apparel. Please use caution while washing or wearing apparel.
Returns are not accepted on apparel.
Shirts, sweatshirts and t-shirts are often a limited run and once sold out cannot be re-ordered; returns on apparel are not accepted. Exchanges will be done on a case by case basis; please contact me within 5 days of receiving your apparel to ask for an exchange (please note that an exchange size may not be available). The shipping cost back to me must be covered by you, the customer, and a reshipment fee must be paid before the new apparel item is shipped to you. Item MUST be UNWORN and UNWASHED. If the item is returned to me and shows signs of wearing or washing, an exchange will not be made and the item will be sent back to you.

Returns and exchanges are not accepted. All sales are final.
We do not cover any shipping charges on returns or exchanges for any reason.
Disclaimer:Customers who use our products acknowledge that Four Black Paws, LLC shall not be liable or responsible to any person, pet or entity for loss or damage caused, or alleged to have been caused, directly or indirectly by or from the products, information or ideas contained, suggested or referenced in any of our marketing material, packaging or website. In no event shall Four Black Paws, LLC. be liable to you or any other party for incidental, punitive, or consequential damages. It is the responsibility of the owner to comply with local safety standards with regards to care of pets, etc. Four Black Paws, LLC will not be liable for any loss or damage of any of our products to pets or humans. Your receipt of payment for these goods is proof that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
Holiday order deadline (read below)
Orders placed AFTER November 27, 2023 will very likely not arrive before Christmas.
We DO NOT ever guarantee packages to arrive by a certain date, including the holidays.
Production time on all orders is 2 to 3 weeks (this does not including shipping time to you). During this busy holiday season, please know that the production time will very likely take the full 3 weeks before you order is shipped.
